Select your state to see which providers serve your area.

Step 3: Filter for Medicaid

Look for the filter options and select "Medicaid accepted" or similar option. This will show you only providers who bill Medicaid.

Step 4: Review Your Options

You'll see a list of telehealth providers who mail abortion pills to your state, accept your Medicaid insurance, and provide care remotely (no office visit needed).

While you wait for your Medicaid application to be approved, you may be able to get coverage right away through "presumptive Medicaid."

Presumptive Medicaid gives you temporary health coverage while your full application is being reviewed. Most states offer this so you don't have to wait to get the care you need.

Can presumptive Medicaid cover my abortion pills?

Yes! In most states, presumptive Medicaid covers abortion care, including pills by mail.

How do I use presumptive Medicaid for pills by mail?

Contact your state Medicaid office or the clinic/health center that helped you apply

Tell them:

  • You applied for Medicaid and are waiting for approval
  • You need coverage now for abortion care
  • You want to enroll in presumptive Medicaid

Get your temporary Medicaid ID number

Once enrolled, you'll receive a temporary Medicaid number you can use right away.
